I often wondered about the lives of authors whose books I have read. Sometimes I do make an effort of finding out more, but not always. So I really liked reading this fascinating piece about Beatrix Potter's life.

Marvelous. I remember in my pre teen years every christmas on telly there was a Ballet from UK Royal Ballet society, a direct translation from the swedish would be ‘Beatrix Potter’s fairy tale world. The dancers in animal costumes. A super thing. No words, just dancing animals. I remember loving it.

A wonderfully fascinating look into her life! You have again hit gold with your writing, mariella. I believe it is on par with any professional non fiction writer.

This was so interesting! All I 'know' about Beatrix Potter is her marriage to Mr McGregor's son in the Peter Rabbit movies😂 Thanks for enlightening me 😊

Mariella, this was a lovely read! Like yourself the first books I read/had read to me as a child were Beatrix Potter and she will always have a special little place in my heart.

It was lovely to learn more about her life and her love. And the fact she found love at 47 means there is hope for me yet!

I’ve visited the Lake District often and have been to the Beatrix Potter museum which is fascinating.

I’ve not visited her house yet but one day!!

I loved reading this. I grew up reading her books, and I’m so glad she got the chance to live her life on her terms and find love again after such a tragic loss.
